Who is this for?

This workshop is designed specifically for independent musicians and artists interested in developing a healthy and productive relationship with content creation. We're going to make a bunch of content together and have fun with it!

Prerequisites

1. Basic video editing skills -- you must be able to create video content with your music, even if it's just using Instagram or TikTok. Anything works!

2. Have original music! It doesn't even have to be released, just music you're comfortable sharing.

From Zack:

This is an incredible time to be an independent musician! Not only can you record, mix, master and release your own music from home, but there are over 5 billion people on social media, which means you can find and connect with your audience no matter who you are or what you're into!

Despite this access, many artists (including myself) have or have had conflicting relationships with content and social media. I hope that by working on it together, we can establish healthy practices, creative approaches and positive vibes so that making content doesn't have to suck!

For those of you who like to go deep and nerd out, we'll also be discussing the historical context of music-related content, content marketing strategies, and the algorithms of platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

FAQ

Q: Will I have to post anything publicly during the workshop?

A: Nope! Only if you want to. But you will be asked to share amongst the group :)

Q: I can't make the lecture / q&a or breakout times, can I still attend the workshop?

A: YES! All content will be recorded and shared to watch and learn at your own pace, though I do recommend being present whenever possible for the best experience.

Q: I haven't released any music yet, is it still ok to participate in this workshop?

A: YES! Come and have fun making cool sh*t. Or if you're planning to release music, this workshop will have you well-versed in content strategy for when you're ready to promote your work, and you'll probably have some content ready to go by the end of it!

Q: Will my content go viral?

A: I have no idea! The goal of this workshop is to help you develop healthy habits around content creation and to learn about it. The actual impact of your content depends on many external factors!

Q: What technical skills do I need for this workshop?

A: You'll need to be able to make video content with any video editing software you'd like.

Q: Can I get a refund if I'm unhappy?

A: If you're truly not happy with the workshop, contact us at info@magicnothing.com for a full enrollment refund. Please share why and how we could improve in your email.
