My name's Zack. I'm a musician (Marmalade Mountain) and accidental influencer (god i hate that word). I've been releasing music for 25 years and started Magic Nothing in April of 2024.

Playlist pitching and curation

Artists pay tokens to pitch their songs to playlists. Curators get paid for the time it takes to review them. Both sides win when good songs find good homes ✨

For artists

  • Submit tracks to playlists using tokens for guaranteed curator review
  • Curators have 72 hours to listen and respond (often with feedback)
  • Curators get paid for their time reviewing, not for placing songs
  • Not reviewed in 72 hours? Tokens come back automatically

For curators

  • Anybody with a public Spotify playlist can curate
  • Connect your playlist in 60 seconds, artists start pitching
  • Earn $1-12 per review depending on your playlist's health score
  • Get paid for every review, no matter your decision

Vendor marketplace

Vetted marketers (we call them vendors) run promotion campaigns on the platform. Artists, curators, and labels hire vendors to grow tracks or playlists ✨

For artists, curators, and labels

  • Hit Promote on whatever you want grown (a playlist or a song)
  • Choose a tier: Launch (375 tokens/mo), Growth (595/mo), Premium (1,050/mo)
  • Pick the vendors you want to work with, they only accept if they feel they can deliver
  • Playlists get a 15-point ranking boost on the platform while actively promoted

For vendors

  • Anybody can apply, every vendor gets vetted before going live
  • Set your growth ranges and share examples of your work
  • Pick the campaigns you want and build your credibility and rankings
  • Get paid upfront each month, 250-800 tokens per campaign

Editorial pitching and curation

Our goal is to offer something beyond streams, so we're experimenting with content, shoutouts, interviews, partner playlists, and other ideas while also building playlists based on editorial submissions ✨

  • Add Editorial as an addon when you pitch a track
  • Choose a tier: Regular, Priority, or VIP (faster review)
  • Reviewed within 14 days or tokens come back

Most of the numbers on our site are estimates. We do our best to collect and share data from curators and artists, but real outcomes depend on quality, market, competition, target audience, and a bunch of other factors. We can't guarantee specific results.
